So Thankful!!

I'm trying to do that blog thing again. Hopefully I'll stick with it this time. =)
❤ ❤
So much has happened in the last month, month in a half. Let first start off with me saying how thankful I am for all of my family that has helped Benjamin and I seal the deal on November 29, 2012!!! We couldn't have done it without you. Know that all of you have a special place in our hearts. Everything was magical for us. Everything turned out better than we ever expected. We were truly blessed with such wonderfully talented family members and friends!!

Most people did not know where we were going for our honeymoon. Only a selected few knew, and that's how I wanted it. Now that it's all over I'm okay with people knowing where we went. =) We were very blessed to have a hotel ready for us from my wonderful sister, Ashley Lee and her husband Skyler, in Salt Lake City. Let me just tell it was a wonderful experience for both Benjamin and I. Benjamin has only been to Salt Lake City once or twice. Even then he wasn't able to go to all the buildings and see everything. I've been once, when my brother and his wife got married years ago. So going there was the perfect place. We learned a lot of things with each other and had some pretty amazing experiences. We went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and a cute little lady was so sweet to us. I wish we took a picture with her. Anyway, we wanted to see the Joseph Smith movie together and we missed a showing by 30 minutes. So we went out to Subway at the City Creek Mall. (AMAZING PLACE)
Waiting for the movie

I didn't want to be late so we were actually 20 minutes early  to the showing. That is when we met this sweet lady. We talked for a bit and she told us we would be very interested in some of the old news clippings that they have on display. She told us exactly where to start and end. So in the displays it talks about this grand hotel...and how it was going to be destroyed. The church turned that hotel into the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Our minds were blown!! I had no idea and we thought that was so cool. After that we started looking at the building more and more trying to figure out what were bed rooms and what would be where. Now, we went back to the theater and the lady was still there. I don't think she expected us to be so interested in the building and it's history. However, Benjamin and I just kept asking questions one after the other. She has to stop us so she could do her job at the theater. She did tell us though to go to a certain lady that knows a lot about the building and ask her for a tour. We agreed with excitement. lol. After the movie which was breath taking. (I was on a roll with the water works that week.) We went straight to the front desk in this lobby.

And at the desk was that sweet old lady waiting for us. =) She knew we were excited to look around and she wanted to show us. We went through a bunch of floors and beautiful rooms. Not just rooms but the whole place is absolutely gorgeous!!

So Benjamin kept asking questions as usually and I don't know what made her feel like she needed to do this but she took us to restricted areas that only workers and Apostles can go. IT. WAS. AMAZING!! I wasn't allowed to take any pictures even though I wish I could have. The room that she took us to was a room that had gorgeous chairs, lights, piano, and amazing views of the city and temple. Angles that I'm pretty positive nobody has taken photos of. She then told us that the room we were in is for meetings for the Apostles. That was awesome to me. She then went on to tell us that the room was originally a bedroom for President David O'.McKay!!! How cool is that!! Benjamin and I just looked at each other in awe. The Spirit was so strong their. That was the only place she took us that was off limits but still that was very amazing to be in a Prophet's home. A place where they prayed and read scriptures. That was just one of many spiritual experiences we had on our honeymoon.

Another thing we did was walk through the Visitor's Center. We took pictures of the paintings.

The two pictures above are meant for one family specifically...you guys know who you are. =)

❤ ❤
We also went on the mini tour that everyone has to go on. lol. Benjamin enjoyed that. We wanted to take pictures in front of the statue but they missionaries said if we wanted to take pictures everyone had to take them within five minutes. =/ The room was packed. So we just took a picture of the statue itself.

Later that night we went on a carriage ride through Temple Square to look at all the lights. It was perfectly romantic.

After the ride we went through the mall again. They had a water show going on. Just everything was beautiful and we both had a blast. None of this would have happened if it weren't for my sister and her husband. I know it was a big sacrifice for them to do that for us and I want them to know that we love you guys so much!!

NOW FOR THE BIG NEWS!!!!! Benjamin and I have decided to move to Alabama in the next month or so. We are very excited for this new experience together. I'll be close to my family. Who I've been away from for almost two years!! I hope Benjamin loves it there as much as I do. Utah is a great place but I love Alabama. Hardly ever snows. ;) When it does though everything shuts down. Which is more snuggle time in my eyes. lol. Also, with how things are going for Benjamin's job right now, things look brighter in Alabama...
We will miss all of our friends that we have made here and all of our family. We will try and visit as often as we can.
